MobiLoud - Mobile App QA & Project Management

Challenge

MobiLoud (formerly 50pixels) is a software development company that builds custom mobile apps for clients. They needed someone who could bridge the gap between their development team and their customers, owning QA testing, managing development priorities, and making sure every app launch went smoothly. This wasn't a short engagement. I stayed for over 4 and a half years because the work kept growing.

My Role

I served as both QA Lead and Project Manager, responsible for the full lifecycle of client app projects from build through launch.

What I Did

Quality Assurance:

• Tested mobile apps on iOS and Android devices for new features and bug fixes
• Ensured products met system requirements and were free of major bugs before release
• Collected bug reports with detailed reproduction steps, screenshots, and logs
• Ran regression testing cycles before every release

Project Management:

• Oversaw product development and customer app build projects
• Assigned development tasks to developers and app builders based on priority and capacity
• Managed incoming requests, triaged issues, and kept the backlog organized
• Facilitated communication between customers, support staff, and developers

Customer Success:

• Provided technical support and troubleshooting for customers via email and phone
• Managed customer onboarding and ensured satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
• Acted as the bridge between non-technical clients and the development team
